Visit renowned wineries throughout Mendoza!
One of the great attractions of Mendoza, besides the beautiful mountain landscapes and rich cultural development, is the wine. The climate, the geography, and a system of irrigation channels (some dating to the 16th century from Inca legacy) transformed the province to an exquisite wine producer, accounting for nearly two-thirds of Argentina’s entire wine production, with exports to several countries all over the world.
We have three options available: Lujan de Cuyo, Valle de Uco, and Lujan Sur. With all the options, we visit three wineries of great renown. Our wine tours include private transportation and lunch.
Lujan de Cuyo is close to Mendoza city, and there you have the oldest and more traditional wineries, as they have the grape production outside the city. With this option, instead of having lunch in one of the wineries, we can do it at a very special restaurant, which is also owned by wine producers. This option is a good introduction to the local wine route.
Valle de Uco is two hours from Mendoza, and the region is considered as one of the best in Argentina and the world for wine production, since the average temperature is of 14°C, with a great thermal extent between the day and the night. The combination of the great altitude, the alluvial soils, the irrigation, more than 280 sunny days a year, little rain, and the temperature favors the cultivation of grapevine, resulting in excellent wines. We have lunch in one of the wineries for a savory end to the tour.
Lujan Sur is similar to Valle de Uco, but just a one hour drive from Mendoza city and with the possibility of visiting an olive farm on our way. We have lunch in one of the wineries.
Please note that sometimes the wineries receive multiple groups at the same time, but we try to make an itinerary to avoid massive groups. In this private tour, we visit different wineries with flexibility and without rushing so we can learn about the production and taste their wines.
