Santiago City Tour
Santiago is an intimate city, embraceable, accessible and familiar. It can be explored in just a few days, and then rediscovered and recognized again. It is not an easily stereotyped city, but instead a magical place full of secrets, corners, and hidden details. There, lays Santiago’s attractiveness: nothing is given, everything is to be discovered.
The majestic Andes Mountains can be seen from almost everywhere in the city. Due to its geographic location, Santiago is one of the few capitols cities in the world which has easy access both to ski resorts and beaches. Tourists may also visit the nearby vineyards and try a delicious Chilean wine.
We begin our Santiago City Tour by visiting the old neighborhoods: Brazil and Concha y Toro in downtown, then we go through La Moneda ( the government palace), Plaza de Armas (city main square) with its impressive Cathedral and the 18th Century government buildings, also we go to El Mercado Central (the city sea food market) with its wide and fresh variety of fish and shellfish and we go through the beautiful Parque Forestal to Bellavista (the city most popular night-life neighborhood) with local bars, discotheques, cosmopolitan restaurants and theaters, giving this place a very special taste of the Chilean Bohemia.
Later, we get into “the other side of the coin” in Santiago; the modern section of the city, with more parks, this time surrounded by modern buildings, in Providencia, Vitacura and Los Condes, the so called “Sanhattan” area; finishing our tour in one of the city most exclusive neighborhoods: Santa Maria de Manquehue.
As always, we can tailor the tour to fit your particular interests.
